I met Porsha back in 2006 while attending GCC. We were theatre majors that lived in the same dorm area. Having worked on set together after a long school day we would hang out and binge watch flavor of love together. Being from nyc away from family, she always made me feel like I was at home. She is my sister for life.

We started out as neighbors, then class mates, to and onto friendship let’s just say Family. One would think Derrick and I are total opposites but we are truly similar just each individually unique. Growing up I knew Derrick was truly my friend because he would be the only person hysterically laughing at my bad humor. Derrick we had a lot of good times, very very very few bad times growing up. Once again we celebrate to life long happiness, love, and family.

Derrick and I met 20 years ago at the University at Buffalo. At that time he was better known as Teddy around campus. Despite his initial super cool/tuff guy exterior, he was more than willing to share his extensive knowledge of on campus life. From what classes to take for an easy A to what females to avoid. Even though he was just one year ahead of me, he became a kind of mentor to me. We became closer when he and Jason Gordon invited me to be a part of their DJ group, The Kultcha Shocc Krew! There were many great nights of playing music for small to large crowds and what I thought at the time were in depth conversations. Through that time I learned how good of a person and friend Derrick is. An intelligent, loyal, headstrong, persistent, selfless and hilarious guy. I'm honored and excited to be a part of Porsha's and Derrick's special day!
